PsychIDN Community
Building mental health awareness across Indonesia through accessible psychology content and peer-to-peer support networks, because understanding your mind shouldn't require a degree or a therapist's fee.
Overview
What is it?
Mental health awareness in Indonesia faces a real access problem. Professional help is expensive and stigmatized; online content is either too clinical or culturally detached. PsychIDN is a community initiative that meets people where they are: in Bahasa Indonesia, grounded in everyday context, and built on peer support rather than top-down authority.
The community creates and curates psychology content that's genuinely accessible: it explains concepts clearly, avoids jargon where it isn't needed, and builds a space where people can talk about mental health without shame. The goal isn't to replace professional care. It's to make the conversation normal so people seek it out when they need it.
